Hope you had a great and safe 4th. As we head into the 2nd weekend of July (there are actually 5 this month!) we are excited to expand on a few of our favorite things. More music (Sunday in addition to Saturday), more brews (upgrading from 13 to 20 taps), more great Brew Werkers, more festivals and more good times. Read on to learn more
We are getting busier and busier so we find ourselves in need of a couple of new folks.
Cellarer: With the beer flying out of the taps we find ourselves needing to clean (and fill) more and more kegs. This is a relatively easy job though extremely important (if the kegs aren’t clean, the beer can’t be good). Pay is $10/hr and we need someone for 2-6 hours a week (almost any evening is fine). Great for a little extra money on the side.
Kitchen Werker: With the kitchen hopping we need 1-2 new team member to help get all of this tasty food into your mouth. Pay starts at $10/hr and you can click here to check out the job description for details. We’re offering $100 signing bonus and $100 referrer bonus for this position. 20-40 hours per week
What a great #Beer4Good month! Don’t forget that you can now get a token for sodas, coffee and tea and be sure to join us on the 15th of every month for Meet The Partners where you can talk to representatives from each of the organizations and learn more. Interested in getting more involved with our community partners? Visit them online at La Casa de Amistad, Neighborhood Resources Connection and The Music Village.
Have you tried our 5 gallon fun batches? The latest is the Santa Eddy, a cinnamon and cacao nib infused version of our Colonel Eddy Oatmeal Stout. When it blows we’ve got something we’re calling Zesty Eddy that has been infused with Jalapeno Peppers. Great way to try out a new look on an old favorite.
Here’s a list of some of the notable beers that we will be tapping this month:
Edgewater Blonde: Guest brewer Adam Meyer has been hard at work making beers we’ve never had before. This first brew of his is a summer classic blonde ale.
NE IPA (pronounced Any IPA): Also brewed by Adam, this is a New England style IPA (fruity & cloudy) brewed with Amarillo, Hull Melon and Cascade hops for a robust flavor and bitterness.
The Grapefruit DIPA: Same great grapefruit flavor but double the everything else
Menage a Khoa: Our Imperial Sour returns!
SourGazer: What happens when you take your best selling beer and inadvertently kettle sour half of it? This! Same great citrusy flavor and aroma but with a little back end bite
IPA #001: Our first IPA is still one of our best featuring Cascade and Galaxy hops
Return of the Cream Ales: We’ve got 1/2 bbl of our classic cream ale + the following small batch varieties: Agave, Coffee, Vanilla and Habanero
Wheats Galore: We’ll have small batch variations with spicy peppers, coconut and more
Wild Ale: Part of our SB150 series from 2015, we have revived this brew using the same wild yeast slurry we used to make the original. Look for fruit infused versions including raspberries, apricots and pineapple
The new Food Menu is here and we’ve been getting rave reviews on a wide variety of items. Some favorites: Dee’s Smoked Brisket Plate, the Mushroom’in Around flatbread and Ragamuffin Bakery Spent Grain Pretzels. Check Facebook for details on those and view the entire new menu on our website.
Is it Sunday Brunch Yet?
Every week we have a full breakfast for just $10 deal, including (1) entree, (1) side and (1) small beverage Check out the menu online but don’t start drooling. By popular demand we’re offering Bloody Mary’s alongside our Beermosas, Bendix barrel aged coffee and tasty brews which are appropriate for all meals
