Evansville Brewers Continue To Surprise With Small Batch Beer

EVANSVILLE – I like beer. I drink all different kinds of beer and find the process of brewing fascinating.

In my fridge you can find a growler of Tin Man’s Alloy, a couple of Carson’s Barrel Reserve beers and the majority of a 12-pack of Coors Light.

If you haven’t guessed yet, I am the Courier & Press’s new beer columnist.

A few things you won’t find in my writing are hints of vanilla or an aroma of fruit.

I will stick to what I like and what is brewing in the Tri-State.

The success and seeming growth of Evansville’s breweries — Carson’s Brewery, Tin Man Brewing Co. and Turoni’s — is spurring a resurgence of a beer culture in the city.

Stopping by a local tasting room can be fun, and everyone has their favorite.

Carson’s also has a Barrel Reserve Club that meets once a month. Members get the option to buy a monthly limited release and taste some beers as they age.
