Doubling Production Is On Tap For Indiana City Brewing In 2018

As first reported on Brewbound via press release on February 8, 2018:

INDIANAPOLIS — In response to rising demand, Indiana City Brewing plans to double production of its beer this year with the addition of two new 30-barrel fermentation vessels and an expansion of the brewery’s popular barrel-aged beer program.

Indiana City’s Founder, Ray Kamstra has been looking forward to this step. “This expansion allows us to brew our most popular limited-release beers on a much bigger scale. We’re excited to provide Indy’s beer lovers with more of their favorite beers and even more experimentation.”

With the expansion, new jobs will be created and craft beer fans can expect to find Indiana City beer in more restaurants, bars, and liquor stores in the Indianapolis area.

Indiana City’s bourbon barrel-aged beers are highly sought after, which has driven the brewery to expand the program. The annual barrel-aged beer release party, Ales From the Crypt, is this Saturday, February 10th.

Indiana City hosts touring and local bands in the Bottling House – a professional concert space housed in the brewery – and was named one of the top breweries in Indianapolis to host private events, such as weddings, receptions, and corporate events.

Indiana City opened in 2013 with a nano-brewing system and upgraded to a 10-barrel brewhouse in 2016. The brewery with taproom is located on the eastside of Indianapolis, in the pre-prohibition era Bottling House of the Home Brewing Company, which operated 100 years ago for about 30 years before it was forced out of business during prohibition.

“Our focus is high-quality and innovation. After honing our recipes and experimenting with traditional and modern brewing techniques we’ve released over 60 unique beers to-date.”, says Kamstra. “We are working hard each day to redefine the expectations of Indy’s craft beer fans.”
