City of Rushville Announces Date of City’s First Major Craft Beer, Wine & Spirits Fest for July 14th

For Immediate Release (Rushville, IN) – The city of Rushville, in partnership with Indiana On Tap, is excited to announce the date and time for the city’s first major craft beer, wine & spirits fest. Rushville ‘Libations by the Levee’ will take place on Saturday, July 14th, from 2pm – 6pm.

This first year event will be held in Rushville’s historic Riverside Park and will feature between 15-20 Indiana craft breweries, wineries and distilleries. Participants will be allowed unlimited samples of all craft beer, wine and spirits with nearly 100 different types available to choose from.

Live music, food trucks, games, raffles and more will also be available as part of the afternoon’s entertainment, along with several other expected surprises. The band(s) are expected to be announced soon.

“I think it is exciting.  A neat opportunity.  Another way for us to showcase Riverside Park and our community,” shared Mayor Michael Pavey.

Riverside Park is the location of the city’s iconic Amphitheater that plays host to the city’s popular ‘Live by the Levee’ summer concert series and offers the perfect setting for a new event of this size and scope.

“We continue to look for new ways to provide entertainment for our region at a local level.  After learning about Indiana on Tap from a former resident, we quickly reached out to learn more about what they do and how they do it.  We’re looking forward to hosting this event with them and showcasing our community,” added Brian Sheehan, Director of Special Projects and Community Development for the city.

Indiana on Tap is the state’s leading craft beer media, marketing and events company and hosts dozens of craft beer events across the state of all sizes. In 2015, they also launched the popular ‘Tasting Society Marketplace,’ Indiana’s premier statewide craft beer membership and rewards program.

“Rushville has been a city we’ve been interested in for a long time,” according to Justin Knepp, Indiana On Tap’s Founder. “We see the great things happening in their city and are excited to bring a new and unique event to the community that they can look forward to every year.”

Tickets will be available as either VIP, General Admission or Designated Driver. VIP ticket buyers will be allowed into the event for the first hour from 2pm – 3pm (for a total of 4 hours), which grants them access to shorter lines and limited-release beers. Those with General Admission tickets will be allowed access into the event beginning at 3pm (for a total of 3 hours). Designated Drivers may enter the event at any time but will not be allowed to sample any of the alcohol. Water will be on hand and soft drinks will be available for purchase.

Early Bird VIP tickets are now on sale for just $30, with Early Bird General Admission Tickets available for just $25. Prices will adjust on June 15th to $35 for VIP tickets and $30 for General Admission tickets, which creates an incentive for those interested to purchase their tickets online, in advance. Designated Driver tickets will cost $10 at all times.

A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to a local charity of the city’s choice, which will also be announced soon.
