05 Jan Carmel-Based SteadyServ Named 2015 Red Herring 100 Global Winner
Carmel-based SteadyServ Technologies, a private technology company that specializes in data driven beer platforms, was recently selected as a 2015 Red Herring 100 Global winner, distinguishing the company and its products as one of the leading and most innovative technology companies across North America, Europe, and Asia.
Indianapolis-based beer fest regulars may be familiar with SteadyServ’s products: its iKeg technology and digital signage were key focus areas of 2015’s Taps & Touchdowns Festival, where patrons could easily plan out what beers they needed to try first by easily seeing what was running out when. Along with the digital signage for patrons, the iKeg platform provides brewery and bar owners with a data driven approach to the beers they keep on tap, including delivering information on how empty kegs are, what tap line is used the most, what beers deliver the most to your bottom line, and more.
“We have been refining our patented iKeg technology over the past three years, and are coming into 2016 as a robust Data-as-a-Service company providing clear, actionable metrics regarding draft beer consumed on premise,” SteadyServ CEO Steve Hershberger told me recently.
“We are currently present in 70 retailers in 13 states, and growing quickly. Our overarching objective is not only to revolutionize how beer is transported and sold, but also to bring usable data to an industry that is severely lacking in it.”
On the award, Hershberger says, “To be recognized with the Red Herring award is not only an honor, but provides validation that what we’re doing will fundamentally change the way beer is brewed, bought and sold in the future.”
Monitoring their success in 2015, SteadyServ is one innovator in the craft beer industry you’ll want to keep your eye on in the new year.
