One of central Indiana’s best craft beer hot spots is getting ready to celebrate it’s fourth anniversary, and it will do so with the help of one of Indiana’s most popular breweries.

On Monday, February 8th, Carmel’s BoomBozz Pizza and Taphouse will celebrate its fourth anniversary with a special VIP dinner and a beer brewed exclusively for the craft beer destination by Greenwood’s MashCraft Brewing.

“BoomBozz is about independence,” Matt Tandal of BoomBozz told me as we spent a brew day together at the south side brewery with head brewer Andrew Castner. “We want you to go in and try a beer you haven’t tried yet. We’ve always wanted to be free from the ‘corporate’ tap lines.”

If you follow any craft beer fans in the Indianapolis area, you’ve probably noticed the pictures and Untappd check-ins flooding in from the Carmel restaurant. The restaurant receives patrons from near and far, and for good reason: it’s tap list is eclectic and vast, and sure to include something you’ve never had before. BoomBozz also boasts an impressive staff, trained to educate patrons on the beers they’re drinking.

If craft beer isn’t your thing (why are you reading this?), BoomBozz also sports an award-winning lineup of gourmet pizzas.

No, really. Their pizza is decorated.

Each year, in coordination with their Kentucky locations, BoomBozz sends pizzas to the International Pizza Expo held in Las Vegas, where they absolutely clean up. Past awards include the best international pizza, gourmet pizza, and vegetarian pizza categories, as well as the best pizza in Louisville. What’s better than a fantastic slice of pizza and a high-end craft beer? Nothing, my friend.

To help commemorate the anniversary, BoomBozz worked with MashCraft Brewing and Andrew Castner to brew a special version of their famous Mariana Imperial Stout. Available starting Monday until it’s gone forever, Hazelnut Mariana is a 9% imperial stout with strong toffee and hazelnut notes that will leave any fan of dessert beers happy. MashCraft has also assembled a special flight for VIPs that will include the Hazelnut Mariana, Vol. 1 Imperial Stout, Callisto Wheat Wine, and their popular MashCraft IPA.

The VIP dinner is by invite only, as it’s a chance for BoomBozz to thank its most loyal fans and distributors, while also testing out new menu options and revitalizing old favorites. If you didn’t get the invite, fear not – there’s plenty of awesome pizza and beer to go around for everybody (but you’ll want to hustle in for the Hazlenut Mariana. It’s that damn good).

For four years, BoomBozz has worked hard to bring its guests top of line pizza alongside a unique craft beer experience. If you’ve been a loyal patron of BoomBozz or perhaps never taken a chance on their great food and beer, do yourself a favor and swing in next week and wish the restaurant a happy anniversary, as well as wishes for success on another four years.
