Loosen your Leiderhosen, Moontown is throwing its first annual Oktoberfest — a celebration of beer, music, and the birthplace of beer. The 21 and up party will last all day on Saturday, October 6th and Moontown Brewing Company’s entire facility (brewpub, event space and garden lawn) will be utilized for the festivities. The day will consist of special Oktoberfest beer tappings and discounted ($5) Moontown beers, two awesome concerts, German costumes, stein-holding and cornhole contests, das boots, and more. Space is limited to ticketed guests only, so reserve your spot now — this will be a day you don’t want to miss.
Schedule of Events:
12pm: Doors open with food and beverage available for purchase.
12:30pm: Cornhole Tournament in the garden (the winning team receives two $25 gift cards and two commemorative beer steins). Details and sign up information coming soon.
2pm: Welcome and official beer tapping with head brewer, Cody Peczkowski
2:30pm: Costume Contest ($35 gift card and commerative beer stein awarded to both the best dressed man and woman present)
3pm – 6pm: Indianapolis’s own, “The Jon Strahl Band,” plays live blues rock in The 1915 Room
6:30pm: Stein Holding Competition (open to all!) and live accordian music
8pm – 11pm: Headliner, “After Funk”, brings down the house!
LIMITED GERMAN MENU SERVED ALL DAY: Pretzels, Sausage Plates, Frankfurters, Roasted Pork, etc
BRAND NEW BEERS BEING TAPPED & DISCOUNTED ($5) BEERS SERVED ALL DAY.
Moontown’s brewpub will be closed to the public this entire day, and entry will be limited to ticket holders only.
