For Immediate Release

Central Indiana Science Outreach (CINSO) is proud to announce they will bring Pint of Science to Indianapolis for the first time in late May. Pint of Science is a festival that aims to bring great researchers out of their labs and into breweries and beer-focused bars to promote their endeavors to a wider audience.

The festival will run May 23-25th, concurrently with other events across the world, and will feature events at several locations across Indianapolis each night. Conversations and discussions about varying topics will take place at Bier Brewery, the Black Acre production facility, and Indiana City Brewing during the festival. Doors at each location will open at 7:00 p.m., with activities beginning at 7:30 p.m. and ending around 9:30 p.m.

“CINSO is very excited to bring Pint of Science to Indianapolis,” says CINSO founder Melanie Fox. “It is our mission to remind the public of three things. First, science fun isn’t just for kids. Second, science impacts every aspect of our lives. And third, there is a lot of really cool research taking place right here in Central Indiana! Pint of Science is a great opportunity to highlight the work of the dedicated featured speakers at the festival.”

Topics will range from the biology of Planet Earth to mechanical engineering to the history of sex education in Indiana. In addition to the speakers, each event will feature some kind of entertainment, including professional trivia and a burlesque show.

Attendees must be at least 21 years old. Tickets to the events are free to the public and available at https://pintofscience.us/events/indianapolis.
